Joyce Staniforth remembers Charlotte and Charles as lovely people - among her favourite relatives of that generation.
She attended Charles' funeral at the age of 16 or 17 and recalls that it was at Stockport crematorium - an unusual form of funeral for those days (shortly after the second world war). 55
