Solino was a poorly girl (weak constitution) the Doctor advised her father to take her out to Russia with him when he went - to do her good.

Solino married Ernest Victor Emmanuel Hubbard, son of Robert Hubbard and Annie Connair, in 1906 in Stockport, Cheshire.152 (Ernest Victor Emmanuel Hubbard was born in 1873 in Hilborough, Norfolk 18,158.)

"Victor drank with all his cronies - so he left Selina (before or after Hare & Hounds? - probably after). Left her with his 2 stepchildren, Sam & Vara, Olga and twins who died later. She couldn't cope with the pub on her own and was left without anything." Solino next married Samuel Penney, son of David Penney and Charlotte Poundall, circa 1896. (Samuel Penney was born in 1870 in Godley, Cheshire 18,159 and died in 1905 160.) The cause of his death was Typhoid fever.
Selina was the daughter of Robert Sumner, who had become a Mill Manager. Sam Penney was an engineer at Mather & Platt's. Neville Grieves believes that this is how they met. 156 |
